    UPTET or Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test

    The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) conducts the Teacher Eligibility Test, commonly known as UPTET, every year to recruit eligible candidates to work as teachers in either Primary or Junior high school level. The last UPTET recruitment was done in 2019. UPTET 2021 notification is expected to release in Mid-December.     UPTET Apply Online 2021

    • Visit UPBEB official site http://updeled.gov.in.
    • Check the UPTET 2020 exam notification and click on the “आवेदन करें
    • Before proceeding, read instruction and eligibility.
    • Enter your valid details to register in the application form.
    • Verify your details and click “Submit“.
    • After registration candidates are required to upload their scanned photo & signature.
    • Then, pay the application fee via online or offline mode.
    • The final step is to print the UP TET online application form for future references.

    UPTET Application Fee 2021

    Candidates have to pay the required fee once they have completed registering for the exam. The UPTET application fee can only be paid through an online portal (Debit/Credit Cards or Various Banks). Below we have given the expected UPTET 2021 application fee details for different categories.

    UPTET Selection Process 2021

    • The UPTET exam 2021 consists of two papers.
    •  Paper I can be attended by aspirants who wish to teach classes I-V.
    • Paper-II will be for candidates who wish to teach classes VI-VIII.
    • The candidates who wish to teach classes I-VIII will have to appear for both papers.
    • The candidates who score a minimum of 60% marks in the written test will be declared UPTET qualified.
    • An eligibility certificate will be issued to the qualified candidates to apply for teaching in the schools of Uttar Pradesh.
    • The validity of the UPTET eligibility certificate is five years from the date.

    UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2021

    The eligibility criteria for the UPTET Primary Teachers and Upper Primary Teachers will be different for the applicants. The various UPTET eligibility criteria are Age limit, Education qualification, Nationality.

    Age Limit: 

    • Minimum Age: 18 years
    • Maximum Age: 35 years

    Age Relaxation:

    Age relaxation has been provided on the upper age limit of the appearing candidates.

    • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university & 2 years Diploma (D.Ed) from N.C.T.E/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
    • Bachelor’s degree & 2 years B.T.C., C.T. (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT).
    • Bachelor’s degree & qualification in  Special B.T.C. Training.
    • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years & BCT Urdu special training in Uttar Pradesh.
    • Bachelor’s degree and Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University (For Urdu Teacher) or Moallim-E-Urdu Degree before 11-08-1997.
    Upper Primary Teachers
    • Bachelor’s degree & B.T.C from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) approved institute.
    • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks & B.Ed/ B.Ed Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
    • Intermediate (10+2) with minimum 50% marks & 4 year B.A/ B.S.C.Ed/ B.Ed from N.C.T.E./ U.G.C recognized institute.
    • Intermediate (10+2) with minimum 50% marks & 4 year Degree (B.El.Ed) in Primary Education.
    • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 45% & B.Ed degree.

    Nationality

    The applicant must fulfill one of the below-mentioned nationality criteria –

    • A citizen of India
    • A subject of Nepal, Bhutan
    • A Tibetian refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 intending to permanently settle in India
    • Migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

    • Both Paper 1 & Paper 2 are MCQ-based exams.
    • Paper I is for candidates who wish to teach Class 1 to 5, and Paper-II is for Class 6 to 8, and Papers 1 & 2 are attended by candidates who wish to teach from Class 1 to 8.
    • Each paper is for 150 marks.
    • Each question will carry 1 mark each. There is NO Negative marking.
    • Candidates who score 60% in the exam will be declared as qualified.
    • The total duration of the exam is 150 minutes for each paper.

    Steps To Download The UPTET Admit Card 2021

    Candidates can download the UPTET Admit Card 2021 for the written test by following the steps below. The candidates who fail to carry the hall ticket to the exam centre will not be allowed to sit for the test.

    • Step 1: Click on the direct link given above or go to the UPBEB official website.
    • Step 2: Type in your Registration ID and Password.
    • Step 3: Click on the submit button and the Admit Card for the UPTET Written Test will be available to the candidates.
    • Step 4: Double-check the details on the admit card and download / printout for further use.
