    Syndicate Bank PO Eligibility Criteria

    There are 2 criteria for a candidate to be eligible for Syndicate Bank PO Exam. They are 1) Age Limit 2) Education Qualifications.

    Age Limit

    • Minimum Age: 20 years
    • Maximum Age: 28 Years

    Upper Age limit Relaxation

    • SC/ST: 5 Years
    • OBC: 3 Years
    • PWD: 10 Years

    Educational Qualification

    A Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline with a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ST/PWD) marks from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

    Syndicate Bank PO Exam Pattern 2021

    Syndicate Bank selection process consists of 2 stages:

    1. Online Test
    2. Interview and/or Group Discussion

    The Online Test consists of an Objective Test and a Descriptive test for a total 250 marks.

    Objective Test:

    There is a Negative marking of o.25 marks for each wrong answer.

    There are Sectionwise cutoffs and Overall cutoff marks that a candidate should clear in order to clear the Objective test.

    Descriptive Test:

    Candidates who clear the Objective test are eligible to write the descriptive test, which tests candidate’s English writing skills.

    The Descriptive test is only qualifying in nature. Candidates need to score a minimum percentage of marks in order to clear this.

    Interview and/or Group Discussion

    Candidates who clear the Online test(objective + descriptive) will be called for an Interview and/or Group Discussion based on merit and the number of vacancies available.

    Candidates equal to 5 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for Interviews and/or Group discussions.

    Final Selection

    The Final selection of candidates is done based on performance in Online Test and Interview and/or Group Discussion.

    Selected candidates will be admitted to the 1-year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance. Once you complete this course successfully, you will be appointed as a Probationary Officer in Syndicate Bank.

    Stipend during Training:

    Candidates who are selected as Probationary officer for Syndicate Bank has to undergo a 1-year PGDDF training. During this 1-year classroom training, candidates shall receive a stipend of Rs.3000/- pm for 9 months and Rs.15000/- pm for the last 3 months. 

    Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be posted as Probationary Officers in various branches across the country. POs will receive an in-hand salary in the range of Rs36,000 – Rs 38,000.
