The State Bank of India (SBI) conducts recruitment for its clerical cadre posts from time to time. They are also called SBI Junior Associates. Candidates recruited through the SBI Clerk Exam are posted as Clerks across the country in various branched of the SBI. SBI Clerks (Junior Associates) are responsible for all client interactions and related operations. Candidates who are recruited as SBI Junior Associates (Clerks) are designated as cashiers, depositors, and other such posts a particular SBI Bank branch. All recruited candidates will go through a probation period of 6 months.

AGE Limit
The age of the applicants should not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.01.2020 i.e.. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1992 and no later than 01.01.2000 (both days inclusive).

Education Eligibility
You should have a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern
The SBI Clerk 2020 Exam has 4 Phases
- Online test (Preliminary examination)
- Online test (Main examination)
- Test of official and/or local language and subject to Government of India approval,
- Interview (though not approved as of now).
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows –

Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above.
There will be NEGATIVE MARKS for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual test OR for the aggregate score. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies) will be shortlisted for the Main Exam from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.
Phase II: Main Examination
The structure of the main examination (online objective type) would be as follows –

Phase III: Test of local language
Those who produce 10th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied official (local) language will not be subjected to any Language test. In the case of others, a language test will be conducted at the time of the interview (if the interview is held) /before final selection (if the interview is not held).
Candidates not found to be proficient in official and/or local language would be disqualified.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the website www.sbi.co.in from 02.01.2020 to 26.01.2020.
Instructions to Apply Online:
1. Before applying to Online Applicants have valid email & Scanned copies of photo, signature.
2. Candidates should log on to the website www.sbi.co.in.
3. Go to Careers — > Click on “Latest Announcement”.
4. Choose the desired post & Click on “Apply Online”.
5. Click on “Click here for New Registration”, if you are a new user.
6. Complete the Registration & Click on “Submit”.
7. After Registration, Log in with Registered Number & Password.
8. Fill all details in the application & upload Photo, Signature.
9. Application fee should be paid through Online & then Submit the Form.
8. Take a printout of online application for future use.
SBI Clerk Salary

What does the above mean? Your Starting Salary will be Rs 11,765 with an annual increment of Rs 655. After 3 years, your salary will be Rs 13730 with an annual increment of Rs 815. After 3 years, your salary will increase to Rs 16174 with an annual increment of Rs 980. After 4 years, your salary will increase to Rs 20095 with an annual increment of Rs 1145. After 7 years, your salary will increase to Rs 28110 with an annual increment of Rs 2120. After 1 year it will be Rs 30230, and after another year it will be Rs 31450. This is the maximum salary you will reach as an SBI Clerk. |
