LIC ADO Exam Pattern 2020

LIC ADO Exam Pattern for Open Market Category

Selection of an LIC ADO for Open Market Category will be done through two-phase examination.

  1. Phase I – Preliminary Examination
  2. Phase II – Main Examination

 

LIC ADO Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

Preliminary Examination consists of an objective test that will be conducted ONLINE.  The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section):

LIC ADO Main Examination consists of the objective test that will be conducted online. The main examination will consist of objective tests for 150 marks.

LIC ADO Interview

Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview, and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates.

Commensurate to the number of vacancies, LIC reserves the right to fix the eligibility standards in order to restrict the candidates to be called for interview and also fix the minimum marks to qualify in the interview. Maximum Interview marks are 37.

In case of similar marks of two or more candidates, the merit order of such group of candidates shall be as per the aggregate marks in main examination and interview and further as per their additional post-graduation qualification (i.e. the person with higher educational qualification will be placed higher in the merit order) and in case of further similarity in educational qualification merit order will be decided on the basis of age, (i.e. senior in age will be placed higher in merit order).

There will be no contingency/waiting list for candidates not declared successful in the main list.

LIC ADO Eligibility Criteria 2020

There are 2 eligibility criteria for a candidate to be eligible for the LIC ADO Examination.

LIC ADO Eligibility Age Limit (as by 1st May 2020)

You must be born not earlier than 2.05.1989 and not later than 1.05.1998 (both days inclusive). Check the minimum and maximum age criteria for LIC ADO recruitment given below.

Applicant from Others category for recruitment as an Apprentice Development Officer in both Urban and Rural area You should possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute or approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

Note – Preference may be given to those applicants who have good knowledge of insurance marketing and also those who possess Masters Degree in Business Administration in Marketing or Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing from a University in India established under a statute or by an Institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education or a recognized Institution.

LIC ADO Salary

During the apprentice period, the candidate selected as an LIC ADO will be paid a fixed amount as stipend per month as per rules of the Corporation which is of Rs 34,503 per month.
During Probation Period, all the allowances provided are Home Rent Allowances, city Compensatory Allowances depending upon the type of city you may posted, Gratuity, Defined Contributory Pension Scheme, LTC, Medical Benefit, Group Insurance, Group Personal Accident Insurance, vehicle advance (2-wheeler/4-wheeler), reimbursement towards cost of Brief Case/leather bag, mobile handset, supply of dailies as per rules and on confirmation in service, attractive performance-linked Incentives.
LIC ADO Salary per month, after all the benefits, in a class A city is approximately Rs 37,345/-.

LIC ADO Job Profile

LIC ADO is primarily a Sales Supervision Job. Selected ADO’s will be given an apprentice by LIC, about the different LIC products (policies). Later, ADOs are assigned a designated rural or urban area where they have a responsibility to sponsor suitable persons as Life Insurance Agents and give them training about different Life Insurance policies.
Selected ADOs in Apprentice Period will have to undergo a Theoretical & Field Sales Training and after completing the Apprentice Period they are appointed as a Probationary Development Officer for a Probation Period of 1 Year.
