Indian Bank PO Exam consists of Prelims, Mains, and Personal Interview phases. All selected candidates will have to undergo a One year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at the Indian Bank Manipal School of Banking (IBMSB).     Prelims Exam Pattern:

    Indian Bank PO preliminary examination is an Objective Examination with 100 Questions and 1 hour time.

    Indian Bank PO Prelims exam is not a qualifying round as its marks will be counted in the Final Merit List. You need to score sufficiently high in Prelims and Mains along with qualifying for the Interview.

     Mains Exam Pattern

    The Indian Bank PO Main Exam consists of 2 parts:

    1. Online Objective Test
    2. Descriptive Test

    Online Objective Test

    The Main Online Examination will be of objective type. It will consist of a total of 200 questions & you have to complete it in 2 hours. There is a Negative Marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

    Descriptive Test

    The Descriptive Test will take place on the day of the Mains Examination. As the Objective paper of Mains exam gets over the screen of the computer will automatically direct you to the descriptive test. There is no time gap between the end of the Objective test and the start of the descriptive test.

    Personal Interview

    Candidates who clear the Main examination will be called for a Personal Interview, which is for 100 marks. The minimum qualifying mark in the Interview is 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

    Final Selection

    The Final Selection as Probationary Officer with the Indian Bank is based on the scores obtained by the candidate in all the 3 stages – Prelims, Mains, and Interview.
