Gramin Dak Sevak Exam Overview

India Post has released an official notification for the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in the Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Telangana Circle for various posts, which include Branch Post Master, Assistant Brank Post Master, and Dak Sevak.

Selection is based completely on the Class 10 marks.

India Post Gramin Dak Sevak Salary 2020

The salary of the candidates selected as Gramin Dak Sevaks will be based time relate continuity allowance (TRCA) which is as follows: –

Minimum TRCA of two types of categories of GDSs as per working hours/levels:

Category Minimum TRCA for 4 Hours/level 1 in TRCA slab Minimum TRCA for 5 Hours/level 2 in TRCA slab
BPM Rs. 12000/- (Rs.12,000-Rs.29380) Rs. 14500/- (Rs.14,500-Rs.35,480)

India Post GDS Selection Process 2020

  • The selection of the candidates will completely be based on the merit list prepared on the marks obtained in class 10th.
  • In case of same marks obtained by the candidates, then the selection will be based on DOB (higher age as merit), ST female, SC female, OBC female, UR female, ST Male, SC Male, OBC male, UR male.
  • Computer Knowledge: The candidate who wishes to be a part of the Indian Post should have computer knowledge and should have a basic computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognized Computer Training Institute.
  • Compulsory knowledge of Local Language – You should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Government or as per constitutional provisions relating to the 8th schedule of Constitution of India.
  • Security Deposit – The candidate applying for the post shall note that he/she shall furnish the security amount of Rs. 25000/– for unreserved category & Rs.10,000 for other categories for the engagement of the post of Branch Post Master (BPM).

Age Limit (As on 15th October 2019):

Minimum age – 18 years

Maximum age – 40 years

 

Educational Qualifications: The minimum qualification required for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak is 10th Standard from the approved state/central govt. Candidates who have cleared the class 10thexamination in the first attempt will be given preference.

Computer Knowledge: The candidate who wishes to be a part of the Indian Post should have computer knowledge and should have a basic computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognized Computer Training Institute.

Compulsory knowledge of Local Language – You should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Government or as per constitutional provisions relating to the 8th schedule of Constitution of India.

Security Deposit

The candidate applying for the post shall note that he/she shall furnish the security amount of Rs. 25000/– for unreserved category & Rs.10,000 for other categories for the engagement of the post of Branch Post Master (BPM).
