ESIC UDC Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification
For Upper Division Clerk/ Clerk-Cashier
- The candidate should hold a degree from a recognised University or equivalent.
- He/she should have a working knowledge of computer including the use of Office suites and databases.
For Stenographer Posts
The candidates should be 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University
Skill Test:
- Dictation : 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute.
- Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi) (Only on computers).
Age Limit
The candidate should be under the age limit of 18 to 27 years to be eligible to apply for ESIC Recruitment 2021.

The ESIC Application Fee varies by the category of the candidate. Please check the below table for detailed information. The Application Fee should be paid ONLINE Only.

ESIC UDC Exam Pattern consists of 3 phases:

ESIC UDC Prelims Exam Pattern
The structure of Phase I (Prelims Online objective test) will be as follows –

- Prelims Exam is qualifying in nature only.
- There is a Negative marking of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer.
- The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase – I.

- The marks obtained in the Main examination will be considered for final selection.

Computer skill test
ESIC UDC Computer skill test is qualifying in nature only. It comprises the following three parts: –

ESIC UDC Salary
As per the 7th Pay Commission, ESIC UDC falls under Level- 4 of the Pay Matrix (Civilian employees).
ESIC UDC Salary Structure:
- Basic Salary – Rs 25,500/-.
- Allowances
- Dearness Allowance (DA) – 7% of Basic salary
- Transport Allowance (TA) – Rs.3600 for ‘x’ category cities and Rs.1800 for remaining
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) – 24%, 16% & 8% of Basic Salary for respectively for X, Y, and Z category cities.
ESIC Upper Division Clerk Gross Salary is Rs. 37000/- ‘X’ category cities, Rs. 33000/- ‘Y’ category cities, Rs.31000/- ‘Z’ category cities.
