It was instituted in the year 1954. Any person without distinction of race, occupation, position or sex is eligible for these awards. In this article, Check the important aspects related to the Bharatratn puraskar, picture of the awaard, Bharat ratna award list, which shows the list of all bharat ratna recipients till date.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Important Aspects of Bharat Ratna Award\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The recommendations for Bharat Ratna are made by the Prime Minister himself to the President. No formal recommendations for this are necessary.<\/li>\n<li>The number of annual awards is restricted to a <strong>maximum of three<\/strong> in a particular year.<\/li>\n<li>On conferment of the award, the recipient receives a Sanad (certificate) signed by the President and a medallion.
